Hi Swami...This all sounds good...but have you tried it yet? Have you read CTC and tried using the form 4868 to correct your W-2's, 1099's, etc.?

If you haven't I wouldn't be spreading this info around. i have tried using Pete's method...and after many letters back-and-forth, indicating the law or lack thereof to the agency...They put a levy against my salary anyway. The only way I could get rid of levy was to agree to installment plan which I am now presently paying.

Yes. I have read the CTC years ago, and did correct the incorrect information. However, the IRS pretty much ignored my response to them, and kept sending letters. The situation is still unresolved.

The IRS cannot be expected to stay within the "law" because most people working for the IRS or government, do not think for themselves, and go along with lies, because they never ask "why?".

Most people working in accounting, for most companies, go along with the lies that have been presented to them without noticing the contradictions of those "laws" in reference to the founding documents of this country. The founding documents of this country are the basis for the governments existence. For any laws created based on those founding ideas to contradict them means they are unconstitutional, and should be trashed. If the "law" has been made confusing, it should be made clear. If the "law" is constitutional but misrepresented, and misapplied, those who misrepresented the law by making it confusing, should be delt with appropriately, as they are helping to commit felonies. Likewise any who have suffered as a result should be delt with appropriately too. Those who are enforcing the confusing and misapplied law should likewise be delt with appropriately, as they too are committing felonies.

When accountants send incorrect information to the IRS they are committing fraud. When accountants send money to the IRS based on that incorrect information they are committing a felony. When the IRS and government accept the incorrect information and money without correcting the situation, especially over many years, it can be called constructive fraud.

The fact that people go along with them implies ignorance, which should be corrected at every opportunity, and if refused, there must be malevolence at play. There are some people in government who will follow the law, but not very many. The capacity for independant inquiry is lacking.

I will spread the information regardless, as the info in the ctc, when I came across it years ago, aligned with my own research, and went a little further. It is accurate.

Your experience is important, and thank you for sharing with everyone. It is obvious that fear plays a part in the situation we find ourselves in.

Just because IRS employees fail at their job, which should never have been established in the first place, and the information is not an easy fix, doesn't mean it should not be known and read by as many as possible. A good comprehension of what context has led up to the present situation is most important.

Keep in mind, we are dealing with massive amounts of ignorance throughout the population, as well as malevolent behavior that seeks to continue accumulating personal gain from that ignorance.

Information and knowledge, as well as personal experience are worth spreading, regardless of the behavior of control freaks and financial junkies.
