[Not you tv] But Vermonter's have heard this kind of tommyrot before, like when this state was FIRST to ban slavery, at least of the status quo kind, and the Southern states wanted to build a moat around VT and float it out to sea. Cool.

The point is, the voters here are at least 2/3 ecstatic with Jefford's decision. If a man can't vote with an honest conscience, then we don't WANT him for our representative. Your researcher is riding a high party line, one that smacks of agenda's and driving range decisions, one that sends conscience out like a baby with some old bathwater. That's not how we do business up here. Just go ask Sen. Hudson from Lyndonville. His comment on Jeffords went something like this:

" Yep, he been setting on the fence for quite a while now, only seems he scratched himself on the barbed wire..."

Bottom line: you don't set on fences made out of barbed wire. If your gonna crawl through them, you have to make a large hole so whatever else is on the other side can get through, too.
