NOTE: Were you aware that anyone found belonging to the New Age Movement in France could go to prison for three years!!!? But 'New Age' just stands for a person who thinks for themselves! Hello there,

We would like to talk to you about the Census due to be conducted in
Australia on 7th August. Apparently the message is out there and 'New
Thought' groups are reacting without considering a bigger picture and
having a true focused objective, which has the potential to inspire
nuisance, rather than unity and direction.

The concept of using the term Jedi to identify how we felt was brillant and
nothing is more needed at this time than something that will bond people
together under one common banner, however this name is unlikely to achieve
what we all so dearly desire. The name Jedi, in truth embraces all we hold
dear - but it will never be taken seriuously by those who, in this case
count as the letter below, from the Australian Bureau of Statistics
proves.

This Census provides Australians who think differently with an unbelievable
gift, and a perfectly timed opportunity.

At present it is illegal, punishable by 3 years imprisonment and big fines,
to be associated with New Age movement in France. This has potential to
spread elsewhere in Europe and while, in the USA, Bush is showing the same
right wing tendencies as Germany in 1929, minority groups - particulary
those with alternative views to society, like us, are extremely vunerable.
The current tide of events gaining momentum globally could well be the most
valuable gift the New Thought groups could ever best blessed with.

We lack the combined power of a recognisable, united voice. The New
Thought people lack national, beaurocratic and popular acceptance, and
through it, legal protection. If we could demonstrate a common belief and
understanding that reaches into all sectors of the community, presenting an
ideal that people can accept with pride and identify with, no matter what
they have previously thought themselves to be, then we have the beginning
of unity and will gain the recognition for that unity.

Through this Census on 7th August we could rise under one common banner and
become impossible to ignore, or be dismissed.

Perhaps One Humanity, New Thought, One World, One God - I do not know the
'right' name, I only know that the issue is critical and very worthwhile.
The name must not seperate any one who shares in the believe that there is
one God and one Humanity and that we are all equal, sons or daughters of
God. We all currently gather under hundreds of offshoots derived from this
ideal - that is our nemesis. If we could Choose one irrevocable Ideal,
with one simple unified, undeniable common Value, allowing for
non-judgement in regard to peripheral ideals, then we could become one
Voice, name our banner, and go for Unity, Recognition and Acceptance.

If ever there was a wonderful opportunity to become One in the true sense
of the word this is it, even if this is only the catalyst that triggers the
beginning. In fact, until we can demonstrate that we have the ability to
embrace the theory of Oneness, over and above the need to be specific about
our beliefs we will remain a scattered, harmless, minority, easy to dismiss
and laugh off.

The name must exempllfy our common belief - no separation must ever rise as
a result of being of this belief, it must hold true in the heart of every
person who takes a moment to go within and ask, "what do I truly believe
in, undeniably, always and against all resistance, regardless of my other
beliefs?"

If we are able to combine our love, strength and networking ablity to
choose and lead the way, a start will have been made. If we decide to
proceed we can all rally to promote this throughout this country and use
this trigger to demonstrate that Australia has the courage to stand strong
in our belief and create an alternative to all of the formalized and
seperated religions, be they Jew, Christian, Moslem, Hindu, Buddist, New
Ager etc., What do they all have in common? One God. One belief that will
unite and allow all people. It is time for One religion, One people, One
world and One God.

We submit this as the name we would recommend for the new religion of
Australia and it will be our choice on the day.... 'One God'.
