(Why they're presently calling this thing Foot-and-Mouth when all my life I've heard it called Hoof-and-Mouth is beyond me. Do you suppose it's so folks electronically searching for tried and true remedies won't find them? Or is this really a new and different condition and they mean for us not to find that out?)

Anyway - I forget where I saw it, maybe right here in our forum, but I've read this week that "homeopathic borax" is known to address this condition, and that vets in the UK who dare to mention it are under threat of losing their licenses.
