And it always has been! "Church" has always been around. Church has caused people to accept unquestioningly a 'higher' authority than themselves, to believe many detrimental things, to act in ways that hurt others, the whole string of "man's inhumanity to man" is church based! It promotes the great equalizer: GREED.

People rarely question what they believe or why they believe it. Thus they abdicate self-responsibility, and are easily lead mostly by their emotions..
