Cont.---With respect to the 500 b.C. penetration of the "Heavenly Isles" by the "Serpent's Seed,"-from the East with the help of Jeremiah, (establishing a Western Trade Outpost,-(WTO;)-another 500 years lapsed until another 2000 years had elapsed when in 1928 we read of an initiation ceremony at Penzance where 12 Bards of Britian, including Sir Arthur Quiller-couch, the author, were initiated by the Arch-Druid of Whales into a sect revived after this lapse of this 2000 years.

Some might prefer the lapse to have continued & as the subject of the Druid Mysteries is here relevant the following is quoted. "The secret doctrines of the Druids were much the same as those of the Gymnaosophists & Brahmins of India, the Maji of Pesia, the Priests of Egypt & of all other priests of antiquity. Like them, they had two sects of religious doctrines, exoteric & esoteric. "The system of Druidism embraced every religious & philosophical pursuit then known in these Islands. the rites bore an undoubted reference to astronomical facts. their chief dieties are reducible to two;--male & female, the great father Hu & the great mother Ceridwen, distinguished by the same characteristics as belonged to Osiris & Isis, Bacchus & Ceres, or any other supreme god or goddess representing the two principles of all being.

The grand periods of initiation were quarterly, & determined by the course of the sun, & his arrival at the equioctal & solistial points. By the time of of annual celebration was May-eve when fires were kindled on all the cairnes & cromlechs throughout the Island which burned all night to introduce the sports of May-day, whence all the national sports formerly or still practiced, date their origin. The May 1st. of the Illuminatii?

Round these fires choral dances were performed in honor of the sun, who, at this season was figuratively said to rise from his tomb. The festival was licentious, & continued till the luminary had attained his meridian height, when priests & attendants retired to the woods, where the most disgraceful orgies were perpetrated. But the solomn initiations were performed at midnight & contained 3 degrees, the first placed in the pastos,-(bed,)-or coffing, where his symbolic death represented the death of Hu, or the sun; & his restoration in the 3rd. degree symbolized the resurection of the sun.

He had to undergo trials & tests of courage similar to those practiced in the mysteries of other countries, & which therefor need not be detailed here.

A future state of rewards & punishments was taught, the imortality of the soul & a metempsychosis...their doctrines were chiefly those of Pythagoras. Their authority often exceeded those of the Monarch. etc. etc.
