POSSIBLE CONNECTION TO ABORTED TAKEOFF?
1)Maybe the plane aborted takeoff because it had a defective part on it?
2)Maybe the pilot was alert and realized a problem with the plane or was tipped off at the last minute?
3)Maybe some faction was going to show its power .. by taking down a flight that would be blamed on the NW mechanics? (Who was on that plane?)
4)Maybe the supervisor figured out this plan and had to be silenced?

Worker sought in killing

A mild-mannered airplane parts inspector walked into his plant Friday morning, fatally shot a supervisor then punched his time card before leaving the building, police said.

Police said Orlando Amezcua, 32, of Woodhaven shot Metro Machine Works Inc. supervisor Wallace Millard, 39, of Livonia in the head, chest and arm. Millard was taken to Oakwood Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, where he died about two hours after the shooting. Police were looking for Amezcua on Friday night.

Metro Machine Works, located at 11977 Harrison Road in Romulus, about a half-mile from Detroit Metropolitan Airport, closed after the shooting. Workers went home early while police searched the machine shop for clues.

Romulus police Lt. David Early said company employees watched Amezcua leave work, saying that he had some business to handle, but would be back. He returned to the building about 11:30 a.m. and walked upstairs to the management office. Workers heard shouting and then gunshots, Early said. Amezcua then was seen punching out, calmly walking out of the plant, getting into his pickup and driving away.
