The following is an answer from an 'agent-in-training' to the post: What is Going on in Antarctica. (Thanks, Leif) This piece, which centers on the meaning of Stanley Kubrick's '2001, a Space Odyssey' is extremely timely and fits as a central 'piece of the puzzle' in the midst of the Antarctica post as well as two of the frontpage posts: 'Soul Catcher' and 'Fortress Australia'. Indeed, the article on the REAL meaning of Kubrick's masterpiece contains many surprises!

When I read this review of Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey " on the Lunar eclipse , Jan.14, 2001, I had to go out and rent the video.

Substitute Antartica for the moon in this movie, and the parallels are eerie.
If the article is too long to read the point is that both stories involve a strange magnetic anomaly discovered at a remote scientific base around the lunar eclipse of Jan.14, 2001. Very synchronistic!
Also, it appears that we are having simultaneous volcanoes at the North and South Pole.
