I used the Bach family only to illustrate how genes pass on talents.

As far as I know they had no spycraft in their family, however, then as now... the kings use musicians to gather intelligence, so who knows for sure!

Mozart's father taught him the Pythagorian Scale. This was something the Masons guarded because they knew the damage the scale could do to humans if it was used wrong.

Mozart's father was a Mason, and the Masons were some of the first spies... who is to say if a spy or two was in the Bach or Mozart family?

Cobblers taught their sons cobbling, and how to make secret compartments for the spies to hide knives and documents.

Bakers taught their sons how to make pies, and how to bake poison into it for assassinations.

Silversmiths passed down their traits, and also taught their sons how to make weapons that looked like jewelry.

A spy comes in many costumes... movie stars, rock stars, golfers, governors, presidents, pilots, garbagemen, prostitutes, drug dealers and pimps.

If it is this way today, who is to say it wasn't this way in Bach's time. But I have no first hand knowledge of this.
