The Jerusalem District Court sentenced Nahun Korman, 36, to six months of community service and a $17,500 fine for killing Hilmi Shusha in the West Bank in October 1996, Associated Press reports. The boy suffered a head injury and broken spinal cord and died in a hospital. The judge "is giving people a license to kill" the boy's father, Said Shusha, told Israeli radio.

The current Israeli election boiled down to who was more willing to kill more Palestinians. Sharon won this one hands down. It had very little to do with the Israeli economy, education, the second -class status of Israeli Arabs or even the peace process. The debate was much more animalistic and instinctive.
