Rayelan -- Your email correspondent has somehow missed realizing we've been following the story he's so insensed about.

If he'll connect with the Twinkle Twinkle piece, he'll discover we were aware of that story, _and_ the story from a week earlier, in which 4 apparently African-Americans were found dead in the living room of a house in the Wichita area.

Associated Press ran a piece about the later horrific events, on December 18. There may have been a "blackout" since then - I'll go looking for later articles when I can. It's possible major television networks have "embargoed" the story since the 15th but AP was still reporting on it as of the 18th.

I'm wondering now if either (a) the 8-Dec and 15-Dec slayings were by the same killers, or (b) if the 15-Dec slayings were in "reply" to the 8-Dec killings. It's curious that 4 people were involved in each of those incidents - 4 black in the first one, 4 white in the second one.

I think most here would agree with your correspondent that the concept of "hate crimes" is a bad (bogus) idea to begin with, and that yes, it does appear enforcement of such laws is occurring in a wildly uneven fashion.

However, your correspondent did a wild knee-jerk of reaction in leaping to conclude he has the faintest idea who you are, and that you'd have benefitted from some time in the "gulag". He needs to do his homework more fully before accusing you of not having done yours.
