DoJ #2 Eric Holder is even more obviously a Bushwhacker because he is a Republican from Menagate www.wwhitergate.com aka Arkansas, and if Reno was pushed out Holder would have lasted the rest of the way, with Henry Hyde's able theatrical assistance in the role of Grandfather Everyman.

Reno, Holder, and Hyde are examples of Mutt-and-Jeff binary
tactics meaning a lot more than nominal party affiliations.

Ashcroft is a nice and good man and Christian, so he may have acted sincerely, but even so he could be used as a patsy or dialectical partner. Usually black hats take over where white hats leave off, but under Bush it's the other way.

The first thing the white-hat shills do for the conspiracy is discovery of witnesses and evidence. Look a gift horse in the mouth when these trojans appear--Daniel Sheehan and Eugene Wheaton and Ted Gunderson and when a Congressional committee wants a copy of everything and a prosecutor wants to know who the informers are.

You recognize one level of sense to the timeliness of Perot's arrival on the Russbacher scene, but his arrival was not only timely for his overt role of presidential aspirations but for "crisis management" in the covert milieu he belongs to, going back to landing his plane in the conspicuous poppy fields of Laos and Vang Pao's treasured pistol given to him by Perot.

The second way white hats get used, willingly or not(i.e. Celerino Castillo was unknowingly used to cover drug smuggling with honest cop anti-drug heroics) is to accreditize the government by looking busy while stalling for time--Congressional investigations in closed committee
are great for this. After two weeks the press has moved on

and it's back to brazen stone-walling and thuggery and lies.

Your words may have been what swayed Ashcroft, and his actions
may have won him appreciation as a stand-off defense, like passive ceramic and/or actively explosive stand-off plates on armored vehicles which cause armor-piercing projectiles to dissipate their force before proceeding from there through an air gap to the conventional armor plate.

All that matters from the Bushwhackers' point of view is the bottom line, which might take the form of evaluating whether Ashcroft was an option of last resort a la "stand-off armor" a.k.a. Lansdale's "backfire burning out the fuel(analagous to a forest fire fighting and literal "brush-fire" fighting technique)", like Clinton beating Bush but ending Iran-Contra short of exposing Bush by burning out the people's enthusiasm with www.wwatergate.com and monicagate.

Ashcroft may have fallen into place of his own volition, and much later Bush acquiesced to appreciate Ashcroft as an effective last resort.

Ashcroft may have gotten a call from the same high cabal which told Greenspan and Congress' Bureau of Economic Statistics to electioneer against Bush(raising interest rates) and for Clinton(with-holding info on Bush Recovery which began March 1991), since unbiased higher-ups would have recognized how close Iran-Contra was coming to Bush.

To help the high cabal to think clearly, George Stephanopoulos caught Bush by phone on the David Frost show, asking Bush how much he knew and when he knew it. Bush could stonewall the question but he had to perceive the threat and soft-pedal his campaigning, mostly staying in the office and "running on his record". The fix was in before Steph's call froze the Bush campaign, I believe.

National security is not always the personal affair the Bush family and Oliver North make it by their cheap use of the treason wrapper, which rivals Clinton's clandestine and legal resorts to the national insecurity spa. There are more powerful families at risk. Perot's candicacy, Greenspan's interest rate rises, and Clinton's presidency all served cooler heads above Bush who effectively managed potentially disastrous exposure
of their covert strategic methods, which Bush employed as personal and overt Phoema program.

If there is anything dirty about Ashcroft, it would have to do with Mena and the Branson resort. As far as Branson, maybe he had to do with the $100 million dollar highway to nowhere, or corruption or thuggery related to Branson. The whitewater dirty tricks crew ran the illegal takings operation for Branson. There was supposed to be a mafia tract with gambling next door, but it was on the Arkansas side and Arkansas voters kept it from happening. If nothing else Ashcroft may fear the way Branson links him with the Clintons in a joint venture, or with Clinton's scoundrels, or with Dole/Viagra.
