Regardless of your attitude about it, Magic exists. It is also powerful--just ask the NUWOs. So why shield our children from it?

Once common error outsiders make is to lump satanism, paganism, ritual magic, sex magick, etc. together, then condemn the whole for the black deeds of some of its parts. An analogy would be to take some Christian sect that obviously has wandered off of the Gospels into weirdness, and use that point to condemn all of Christianity.

Jesus was a magician. So were Moses, Buddha, Lao-Tse, and dozens of others behind the world's great religions.

The Harry Potter books seem to teach kids some vital realities about life they aren't learning anywhere else, and suggest to them that they have undeveloped powers within. If that's true, I endorse the books. because the first is vital, and the second is true. Let me ask my niece--she's a Harry Potter fan.
