I've got a cranky old hybrid Mac, and it accessed the pages without trouble.

Maybe you should save your bookmarks & all of your email addresses and correspondence (sp?), as well as write out your internet access information, or whatever stuff you'll have to use to access the net, or save it to a text file. Then maybe run a find for every file (except the ones you've just saved/created elsewhere in your machine) and trash them, then reinstall your software.

If you have a mac, maybe just save all that stuff I mentioned above and trash the preference files associated with your internet browser software.

Sometimes it is helpful to deny your computer electricity for a few minutes, then power back up.

Again, if you're running a Mac, maybe delete the PRAM and rebuild the desktop file on the harddrive(s).

But I'm thinking it's a browser problem, some bit of code that's degenerated through time. Possibly the deinstall/reinstall is a good bet if power-off/power-on doesn't work.

Do you have cookies enabled on your browser? Try disabling them and locating and destroying any associated with the E-Groups webpages. I never enable those things, or if I do, I change all their values to gibberish or to say crazy things so they'll return corrupt values to whomsoever is monitoring them.
