What impresses me is that there is more to Jana than what I don't like about her attitudes and expressed ideas. She expresses also other ideas that are of a better sort, among them a seemingly genuine concern for children.

I think those statements are pretty wrong-headed and more than a little fanciful, but not in any kind of story-bookish way.

I do think the statement about disallowing the practice of Judaism construable as threatening. And wrong. Someone I know very well converted, late in life, to Judaism. The change in his outlook and self seen during the several years he lived after his conversion were in the highest degree positive.
