I think the animals mostly mean us no harm. I think they may even find us fascinating -- they say most animals will stop and listen to the sound of human voices, for example. I was out hiking once, and stepped _over_ a rattlesnake, dozing on a nice warm rock, before I knew he was there. He rattled and hissed at me, after I'd passed by -- I think he was as startled by the whole thing as I was, in fact, and was just responding to that start my presence had given him.

I'd bet we have power that we're not aware of, too -- and it may be that we'll never discover that, till called upon to make use of it. I'd bet we can do most anything, if there's really the _real_ need to do it.

I have a friend who used to be a Scientologist. She tells me they used to sit around, practicing how to levitate and ashtray. I thought that was pretty cool in one sense, but silly in another. "I can levitate an ashtray, too -- but I use my hand to do it, takes less effort that way." :)
