Certain aspects of the theories about what William Jefferson Caligula may or may not do in advance of the November elections have proved themselves to be very troubling to logical analysis:
Since Albert S. Gore, Jr. wants very much to win the presidency in his own right, and since he was groomed from an early age by his politically adept father to be just such "a winner," whatever does he have in common with the Emperor Clintonius, now? What good would it do for him, and his considerable "camp" or faction within the Democratic Party, to have the elections suspended? Has he not made common cause with the Kennedys, which puts him at odds with the Clintonista posse? And how will Dick the Gephardt ever become Speaker if there isn't an election for him to pirate?
Of all the people in the country who have a reason to see martial law, or any other ultra-despotic measures stifled, Al Gore has got to be Interested Party Number One. Interested Party Number Two has to be that ineffable bungler, the first-born stumble-bum, Prince George the W. How does anyone figure he is going to take "the news" that his big dance is going to be cancelled?
With the whole of the Re-Publicans' establishment behind him, and with the loyalty of his executive operations in Texas -- where there is almost no federal land of any kind, by the way -- and with the oil money coming to him from the brokers, the dealers, the toolmakers and the marketing folks, doesn't he have a vested interest in not seeing martial law come about? What about his Internet cronies? Are they going to go softly into the good night of a new and more vigorous Clinton tyranny?
Furthermore, George Herbert the W. and Little W. are, like their progenitor before them (Prescott Bush), members of Skull & Bones.
Brothers and sisters, patriots, and rebels of the republic -- that ain't hay.
You can't be lodge brothers with "luminaries" of that importance and not have contingency plans sufficient to beat the band.
Yes, it is true that the police departments around the country have been "militarized" by Thug Clinton and his Thugee Wife.
Yes, it is true that the Kofi Anans of this world are agitating for a kinder and gentler (and more heavily armed) United Nations.
But, here in Connecticut, where the classic liberals dominate the media -- and where the Democratic Party has held control of the State's levers of power for two full generations -- there is little or no sympathy for the U.N. among the working classes.
Except of course, in tony Greenwich and Darien, where many of the bureaucrats and ambassadorial-level officials of the U.N. live. There is definitey an affection for them among the drinking class and the brie-with-chablis crowd. Oh, yeah. But, first ....
The fastest growing part of the population here consists of new immigrants from India and Pakistan (not related or friends), and Spanish-speaking folks from the Dominican, from Peru, and from Puerto Rico. Amongst those folks, the fastest growing movement is Pentecostal or evangelical protestantism. To the extent that they ever "think" about the U.N., it is to them just another big nuisance. Of course, the Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens and if they live in the States they have full rights. They do vote.
The new immigrants have been obtaining their citizenships very fast, too. They are all family-oriented and conservative in their politics: many are Catholics, and the Hindu element among them are extraordinarily sensitive to what affects their business or their employment opportunities. They are not large in number but their economic power is considerable, and growing.
Given that there are millions of lawful gun-owners here in the U.S. who are flat-out sick of the Two Clintons, and given that neither Gore nor Bush has any real reason that I can detect to "sit still" for a Clintonista palace coup, what justification is there for thinking that such a thing is definitely coming on?
The whole of the voting public, as sick as they are of this moron and his lip-biting routines, are not going to be deprived of the right to vote for whomsoever they may choose! Not by this Cad, this Bounder from Hot Springs. Yes, I agree that he has proven himself to be politically adept and skilled in using political murder and marginalization. But he doesn't "look" like a guy who is cruising into "coup status," he looks like a bored frat-boy that is finally going to have to admit that he has flunked his final exams and must pack his bongs and his party kegs and head for ... wherever it is he will end up going.
And for what reason has the rumor been bruited about that The Big Creep is going to teach a course at some college in dear old Angleland, and have some Arab sheik provide him with a mansion, if he isn't planning on making the big skedaddle, next year?
Furthermore, there has been a major consolidation in the tabloid press, and yet the stories concerning the murder of Diana, Princess of Wales, will not go away. Just today the National Examiner hit the stands with information explaining that the brake linings in that Mercedes may have degraded, and that there was water in the brake fluid itself! Nor has anyone ever been able to explain how Henri Paul -- the supposed lecherous drunken MI 5 agent with all those different bank accounts -- got such a high level of carbon monoxide in his blood. Or, if they did, I guess I just missed it.
There are few things in the way of evil, in this world, that I would not attribute to Brother Clinton and his half-brother (the half-ass, half-addict Roger), or to the Wicked Witch of Wellesley but the panicky behavior we have seen of late indicates that they are paddling like crazy before the currents of history take them right over "the falls" and into oblivion.
Then again, as a Yale man who is not an enrolled member of Lodge Number Two of "Skull & Bones," it is quite possible that I just really don't know ... Diddley. Comments, please.
