A Report from the wise old owl: On Now 8, 1999 it was reported in the New York Post: "FBI Director Louis Freeh admitted that Russia might still have stored weapons - including nuclear suitcase bombs - at secret locations around the U.S...." In an earlier post on this site, and from NewsMax.com it was reported: ""...One KGB defector, Vasili Mitrokhin, provided information to British Intelligence that secret weapons stockpiles are scattered throught the U.S., including in upstate New York..." Consider the possible and plausible scenario: The Hudson Valley in New York is the most strategic location in the Northeast. Within three hours via ground land transportation, you can be in NYC, Montreal, Boston, all of New Jersey, Philadelphia, and add an hour, and you can be in Washington, D.C.

Within the Hudson Valley is the Hudson River. This River is traveled "daily" by a host of international freighters. Along both sides of the River are a greenways: that is, the land is left in its natural state - no housing, or any type of development. It is also not patrolled adequately.

Adjacent to the River are a series of caves, some natural and others manmade (old cement and bluestone mines). It was the cement from these mines that built NYC in the 19th century. As of this date, these mines have not been adequately charted and records have been lost. The owl knows: that recently, some US government agencies have been trying to find the location of these networks of caves. Their results are incomplete and inadequate. (This is the owl's conjecture based on recent observed information.)

These caves are interrelated via a network of underground springs and waterways that empty into the Hudson River. With present technology today, it is so easy to disperse a small underwater vehicle from an incoming freighter that will travel to the orifices of the underground springs that enter into the River; and one can traverse these underground waterways and hide a thermonuclear suitcase bomb, similar biological and chemical portable devices, drugs in hugh quantities, gold, etc., etc., etc.

These underground caverns are ideal for the storage of such materials. When stored here they are safe and free from modern detection devices. Finally, at anytime they can be removed from these caverns via the many orifices that are on land and then transported undetected via the many highways to their target positions.

The owl's basic concern here, is the nonchalant, know it all approach of certain government agencies in their method of investigation for this most timely, serious and critical problem....it's not only Russia but mainland China too.
