Taoss, I have reviewed some of the post at the site you directed me to. I for one am glad that the discussion of republic v. democracy comes up. I think we should know with a certainty, as we know the difference between the sun and the moon, the difference between the two. Unfortunately I think we complicate
the matter too often.

Truly the old time definition of democracy, I speak of the one that was in general use at the time of the constitution, was simply the rule of the majority, through direct voting. A
republic was the rule through democratically elected representatives. Of course those fellows use to be the best and the brightest.

The key to our government as being unique in protecting inalienable rights, is the Constitution. It would not
matter if we had a democracy with 100 % suffrage, including school children if the Supreme law of the land was abided by, as it is suppose to protect inalienable rights.

Without belaboring the point our goverment has been operating as a republic, but has not abided by its Constitutional Mandate.

We are a democractically elected Constitutional Republic with the
representatives acting outside their authority.

The premise is that our government was instituted to secure life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, instead it has sanctioned the plunder of these things, and has been the greatest of bandits, and in this inversion you will find the demise of the constitutional republic. This started as a system of plunder at the point we demanded that some people ought to pay more for our government than others, and then proceeded to the point where government could plunder who is saw fit for who is saw fit.

If we want to save the planet we must end legal plunder.
