Double-think? Quite possibly. Just more pseudo-intellectual abstraction meant to mesmerize the intellectuals of the world.

I have a theory that intellectuals are the most corruptible type of people. I myself am an intellectual type (INTP on a popular personality test), and I know how corruptible I am. Very.

This "Viking" site encourages people to remote view, and talks more about the aliens. At one point it even tells you how to "raise the Dragon within." This is another site that identifies the serpent of the Bible with Enki (or Enlil?), the god that wanted to set man free by giving him the tree of knowledge. The old switcheroo, devil for savior.

Regardless of which side is supposed to be good or evil, I suspect that all the current New Age and channeling stuff is meant to set up a conception of "good" aliens versus "bad" aliens, so that the powers that be will be able to play a game of "good cop, bad cop" on us, to their benefit. Either that, or they are just noting our reactions to all of this Roswell/UFO/alien abduction/millenium stuff, and whatever works best they'll refine it and try it again in 50 or 100 years.

My solution to all this stuff is simple. All aliens = bad. Because they're alien. Duh. Case closed. No external influences allowed, and mankind retains his independence forever. That's my credo.

The same principle also holds at the tribal level, the family level, and the individual level. All the boundaries that the New World Order wants us to believe are now magically "obsolete."

As for opening yourself up to external influences, I don't cotton to the idea of "let Jesus into your heart," either. Isn't he supposed to be in there already? If so, then who did you just let in?
