I haven't forgotten. The information I want isn't in any of the books I have at this location. I'll try to find my classnotes from Dr.Nogalski's OT survey. I remember he did a study with handouts tracing the OT development of thought regarding the being also known as Satan.

You might want to look at Babylonian angelology (sp?) and demonology, as that's where Judaism acquired a lot of nomenclature and theories regarding those created beings.

I think the ancient Hebrews syncretized a lot of material from the surrounding ANE (Ancient Near East), fitting what made sense to them into a YHWHistic framework. I'm also pretty sure elements from ancient Hebrew culture were imported by the surrounding cultures, and across the Mediterranean to Greece (See Lady Wisdom all through Proverbs & Ecclesiastes and Minerva/Athena in Greek myth - also the ancient Egyptian concept of wisdom as personified - Hebrews saw wisdom as more than human but less than God. Super interesting subject).
