He explains why the actions that China is going through are more for practice at this time; rather than an actual military movement about to be launched.
Y2K People Finding People - http://www.webpal.org/list.htm
Have gotten a lot of emails of late from people worried about China Moves in the last two weeks. Most everyone knows about:
1. The large (1,000) movement of aircraft
2. The large flotilla of small fishing boats
3. The couple of hundred large iron bottom boats
4. The emptying of the wards in the military hospitals.
5. The movement of tanks and armored vehicles
6. The movement of numbers of troops
7. The activation of two additional missile sites
8. The visit of the top Chinese general all to the location on the strait opposite Taiwan and people also know
9. About the China statement on the 3 paths to war
10. That they have ordered more arms in the last 30 days alone than in the last ten years.
11. That in spite of a policy to save cash and reduce fuel imports for the last two years they have more than doubled their fuel import this month over what it was a year ago.
12. And then there are the political discussions with Washington and the list goes on.
But not to worry. They are just practicing. But they ARE practicing. Won't strike though, not until the U.S. is busy elsewhere and THEN they will, and immediately, because one can stay ready only so long. Not yet. But soon. (In a few months).
China and Russia (and India) have pretty much the same problem. No respect. Upsets nuclear powers with big populations. Even the little ones. Tremendous article by a STATESMAN on the nuclear crises - if you will read it.

China has LOTS of international problems. 1) Taiwan (they consider that internal) 2) Japan (won't give back those darn islands) 3) India (rumble, rumble, rumble, nuclear rumble) 4) Russia always (but they have agreed to cooperate on this one) 5) The U.S. 6) The other Southeast Asia stuff is a mess for them also.
But the BIG question in China is: How are you going to get respect. Rejected just yesterday again by the ECU from the WTO. And then there is that whole UN scene yesterday. You really should read this one for yourself.

Thursday March 30 6:54 PM ET Security Council Makes History in Washington By Evelyn Leopold WASHINGTON (Reuters) - "China's Ambassador Wang Yingfan told the senators that "although the United States is the only superpower left, you cannot manage everything by yourself.'' But the U.S. has gone it alone. Dictating to Iraq against the wishes of the other UN Security Council members. Going into Kosovo against the wishes of the other UN Security Council members. And this list just goes on and on. While still not paying up its UN dues. One might say that they are ticked. And all the other UN Security Council members are ticked. Jesse Helms is NOT their favorite person.
And, if you think my list for China's war preparations was long, you should see the one that I can give you for Russia. The REALLY BAD news this week about Russia came from the US Department of Agriculture. Serious, serious, serious grain problems. (Farmers don't produce well under communism, one of its many problems).
People still don't believe there was (is) a Y2K problem. They would think differently maybe if the following list had been given HEADLINES by the media.
1 Four missiles launched accidentally (they were Russian and fortunately duds).
2. US military satellite system completely failed for hours.
3. NSA (National Security Agency) computer collapsed also.
4. One third of the air tanker fleet grounded.
5. Cruise missiles known to have problems so inventory expended on Kosovo.
and now 6. The Patriot Missiles [http://pub5.ezboard.com/fprudentlivinginthenews.showMessage?topicID=687.topic]
7. and no telling how many more that we aren't told about.
But, if you ask anyone in the general public they will tell you that there were (are) NO Y2K problems. If this weren't so long I would tell you about more current refinery problems and the current oil scene. Yes, I have heard the OPEC reports but I am sticking with my June $3 prediction.
There is just so much happening that I can't begin to write about it. But it is nothing that you see on the evening news. If you lived in Miami you would think that all the world's problems center around a Cuban boy.
Most people just don't have or want (or even want to hear) my perspective. But anyway the Chinese, the Russians, and many others are practicing.Wait till the orchestra starts to play.
