A Boeing 757, Egyptian Airlines flight 990 went down 45 miles Southeast of Nantucket in the Atlantic Ocean at 2:45 am this morning. There are some mysterious unexplained circumstances regarding this incident. Initially NBC reported that this flight leaving L.A made an unprecidented stop at Edwards Air Force Base. They even confirmed this information with Edwards Air Force Base. However by 8:00 am NBC reporters stated that the landing at Edward's Air Force Base was disputed by Edward's personell. By 9:05 all referances of a landing at Edwards were completely dropped by NBC reporters. The reporter Jim Morris looked very uncomfortable in the first report of Edward's Base sudden denial of a landing. After a commercial break the reporters appearance was distinctly expressive of a man who has been thoroughly chastised by his employers. By 9:20 the NBC reporter Morris was again stating Flight 990 had made an unscheduled stop at Edwards. This time he had a very determined look on his face. By 9:25 am FAA officials came on the air and again denied the Edwards landing. NBC reporter Morris appears to be very angry at this point. What happened to flight 990 ? Why was it reported and CONFIRMED as landing at Edward's Air Force Base ? Why did NBC drop the report of an Edwards landing. Why was the flight running several hours late, but no ground time to allow for that time lost ? There are also reports that Egyptian authorities received a distress call from flight 990 , yet U.S. authorities deny a distress call was ever made. The passenger count is also unusual. Originally the manifest was said to contain 197 passengers and 15 crew members. By 9:15 am the story was changed to show 199 passengers and 15 crew members. Who got on or off at Edward's Air Force Base? What is being covered up here ? Hopefully . We will have somebody brave enough to come forward and speak the truth. NBC reporter Morris is to be commended and I suspect he will be forced to look for a new job. A shame honest television reporters are becoming as scarce as hen's teeth.
