I have been flamed a 100 times over. It's the nature of the game when you have any visibility.

When there's "incoming," you just dish it back with reasonable argument, as you have done.

I doubt they are "phoney Seal" exposers. I have known of them since a good while back. And I wouldn't doubt it is, as they say -- that they have been prompted to investigate Gunther as that's the way it works: they get requests, they investigate.

But I wouldn't doubt Rodney Stich's presumption is correct, that Gunther solely received special forces training for background.

From what I have heard, that is not unheard of, that certain military receive this training for various purposes even though they are not part of the regular special forces cadre.

Ask them if this is not true, or maybe they will see this and respond.

Also, along the same line, note the one e-mail you received from them about misspeaking of your being interviewed by Art Bell. If they can dish it out, then they ought to be able to take it as well. The writer was flat out wrong.

While Gunther's situation may be in a gray area, changing "wrong" to "misspoke", where I come from, is called "spin."

Would Bush's people be behind this, prompting the Seals to look into Gunther's background to discredit him (Gunther) because of any damage the things he has said might inflict on Bush's presidential aspirations from things his father has done?

That could be.

Or it could be just as likely to discredit you for the same reason, or to discredit you in general for the things you have written and spoken about.

But regardless, it's understood the more flack you start to get means the closer you are to the target.
