I have to wonder if Jesse Helms' "unprecedented" address to the U.N. wasn't just firewall propaganda, intended to appease anti-U.N. sentiment in the U.S.

Under this theory, the globalists must be running scared over the growing volume of anti-globalist dissent in America, and this address by Helms was an emergency measure, designed to lull the people back into a sense that their concerns are being voiced. In other words, it was designed to make critics of the U.N. and of the globalist movement shut up.

Everyone kept remarking about how "unprecedented" and "unusual" this address was. To me, this points to the event being an improvisation motivated by absolute desperation.

Why do I think all this? Because, in my opinion, under a surface of seeming old-school conservative defiance--and who better than an old southern gentleman to be the front man for this charade?--Helms' remarks were actually quite weak.

As an example of Helms' weak rhetoric, he said that the U.S. might withdraw from the U.N. if things don't improve, and he said he doesn't want that to happen. My question is, why not? The U.S. should indeed withdraw from the U.N., forever.

As another example of Helms' weak rhetoric, he said that "A United Nations that seeks to impose its presumed authority on the American people without their consent begs for confrontation." But by saying this he left open the possibility that the U.N. might in fact someday impose its authority on the American people WITH their consent. My question is, why did he leave open this possibility? I say that the U.S. will NEVER be ruled by outsiders. But Helms was not as clear.

As another example of Helms' weak rhetoric, he described how, once the U.S. signs a treaty with the U.N., that treaty then becomes U.S. law, binding legally in the U.S. He seemed to think that this was OK. I, however, do not think that this is OK.

Jesse Helms is just the gullible patriot's "good cop" to the ultra-leftist Joseph Biden's "bad cop," as far as I am concerned. Get Helms out of there and put Pat Buchanan or Alan Keyes in his place, and then we'll really see an American patriot go to work fighting the globalist invasion of America. Jesse Helms is just another "pretend" conservative, like George W. Bush. He's there for show, he stops short, and he sells out.

As for Joseph Biden, his traitorous nature can be clearly seen in his comments during a meeting held subsequent to Helms' speech, also broadcast on C-SPAN. Biden brought up Helms' assertion that the U.N. was a threat to the sovereignty of the U.S., and then breezily dismissed that concern, saying simply that he didn't think that it was true. Helms was sitting right there, and he said nothing in response.

Well, what do you think about that? Are you believing this show?

I say, if you are happy with Jesse Helms' speech to the U.N., then you may well be a happy fool.
