Why would anyone want former CIA director Stansfield Turner dead?

Admiral Turner was the DCI at the time that the Iranian hostages were being held in the Tehran Embassy.

This hostage crisis, known as the October Surprise--- is the reason that Jimmy Carter was defeated by Ronald Reagan.

Many people believe that George Bush, Sr and William Casey, Reagan's Presidential Campaign Manager and later the Director of Central Intelligence who replaced Admiral Stansfield Turner.... were the two people who planned the October Surprise....

Could Admiral Turner have known things that would have made the Bush family look bad? Could someone, who thinks they are doing Bush Jr. a favor, be tying up loose ends?

Former CIA Director Injured in Costa Rican Plane Crash By Eric Nunez Associated Press Writer

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP) - Former CIA director Adm. Stansfield Turner was injured, and his wife and three others were killed when a plane crashed into a home shortly after taking off in San Jose. Turner, who was CIA director under President Carter, was in a San Jose hospital, authorities said Sunday.

President Jimmy Carter's CIA director was injured, his wife killed, when their tourist plane slammed into a house on takeoff from San Jose, Costa Rica. Retired Adm. Stansfield Turner, 76, was reported by Reuters news service to have been in critical condition Saturday in the emergency surgery unit of San Jose's Hospital Mexico.

He served as director of the Central Intelligence Agency from 1977 to 1981.
