"In the effort to solve this mysterious gold market
situation, I have taken upon myself to pour through

Treasury files, FOMC transcripts and central bank
annual reports. Last night I just happened to be
visiting with the folks at the Norges Bank, the
central bank of Norway. I discovered two things. One
was that the entire 33.5 tons of gold bar reserves
have been placed in the BOE for the purpose of
loaning to various institutions. The other fact is
that they value their gold at "fair value." Here
are notations from the annual report."

For months David Walker has been working quietly
behind the scenes pouring through tedious documents to
sort out the truth about the gold market.

This extraordinary commentary is another step along
that route.

As a result of the tireless efforts of the Walkers, Turks
Bolsers and Howes, the GATA camp is exposing one
of the most significant and complicated scandals in
modern financial history.

While it is most important to DISCUSS on the internet
what the exact true facts are, it is more important
to be active in DOING something to correct the problem.
That means writing your Congressmen, asking them to go
to Treasury Secretary O'Neill for answers to specific
questions - such as to the meaning of the disappearing
Special Drawing Rights Certificates.

It means calling the executives at Newmont Mining and
Homestake, asking the silent ones what they are doing
about ferreting out answers from the U.S. Treasury
Secretary.

Don't just sit back and wait for Reg Howe to win the day
in a discovery process. If you contribute to the process,
there will be an UPROAR by the time of the court
hearing date of October 9. The judge is human. The more
the controversy, the more likely the judge will find it
necessary to allow the truth seeking process to continue.

Just yesterday your fellow concerned citizens sent
me copies of letters going to Senator Sarbannes,
Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee; Senator
Peter Fitzgerald of Illinois; Senator Wellstone
of Minnesota; Senators Arlen Spector and Rick
Santorum of Pennsyvania - as well as Congressman Joe
Pitts of Pennsylvania and William H. Gray III, President
and CEO of the United Negro College Fund.

If you have not already done so, please take some time
to contact your Senators and Congressman. The process
is working. Cafe members and GATA supporters outside
the U.S. can alert their country's press and ask them
why they have not even reported on the Howe Complaint
and the GATA camp discoveries. They are being shown up by
the reporting of college kids a la the Harvard Crimson
story.

While I am not at liberty to divulge the Senator's name
(as a result of efforts such as those mentioned above),
a U.S. Senator has privatly revealed to someone affiliated
with the GATA movement that there is a gold market scandal
brewing!
