After reading the above article, I emailed Richard McClendon, who does the McClendon financial report that has been at the left top of the Rumor Mill News front page for almost a year now.

Richard has been very accurate in charting the ups and downs of the market. I figured if he is so accurate in the financial world, then he probably would have a pretty good idea about what Richard McLaren was doing with his petition to the United Nations.

So I wrote Richard McClendon and asked him to comment. Why did I think he would know something about this? Because he is a member of the Republic of Texas!

Living here in Texas, I became aware of the Republic of Texas
activities in early '96. I became a Citizen and have followed the activities ever since, including a couple of conventions and the writing of a new constitution.

Throughout this time, the Republic of Texas claims that:

The Congress had no authority to make Texas a state of the US through a "joint resolution", that:

The people of Texas properly voted to leave the union and that:

Since the Civil War Texas has been a captured nation.

There have been a number of attempts to get a response out of the US government on these issues, but they remain silent. In the meantime, Republic of Texas (RT) Citizens have been compiling their evidence.

Rick McLaren in his approach to the World Court is attempting
to apply some of the same rules to the US that have been applied
to the Russian break-away republics, which the US supported.

I can not say WHY the US remains silent on these issues, but,
it reminds me of the same silent treatment they are giving demands from US citizens to show the laws that make them liable for income taxes.

From all I have heard, there are no obstacles to getting this case heard by the World Court. The US may default through their silence, so there may be some verdict or judgement handed down without any debate. The next question is:

"How will the results of this case effect the continued operation of the State of Texas?"
