This is happening in SW NE as well. We had a wet winter, a wet spring, and spotty rain this summer. In the spring, the local canal office assured all farmers that water this summer would be no problem. They would turn the canal on around June 15 and leave it on extra long. Liars. The canal turned on July 9, most of the corn that depended on it is drying up. The canal office is limiting every farmer to 2 inches per acre, less than half of last year. The canal will be shut off around July 27. Enders Lake, where this water comes from, is not any lower than last year, but they are saying it is. They say we are in a stage 1 dought, yet they are rationing water from wells with meters, about one half of them. Towns are rationing water. People are being fined for using too much water. A quart of bottled water is going for a little over $2.00. Yet, the underground aquifer we depend on in this area has more water in it this year, than any time in the past 15 years. It is happening everywhere, but the elitist media pigs refuse tp cover it.
