This reminds me of Carlos Castaneda's series about his training under a Yaqui shaman, who spoke about "stopping the internal dialog." We are constantly explaining our experience to ourselves. Relating what's happening in the Now to our previous experiences and thus forming a rational framework for a reality that is only transparent when we stop explaining it and then experiencing the here and now without these filters.
This internal dialog is a survival skill, but also an impediment to our direct participation with what we call "reality."

Other references to this abound; Crowley writes of something similar but perhaps too arcane to get into here. The gist of this is that when we stop explaining to ourselves what's going on, we experience reality directly with our hearts. The heart pumps blood, yes, but it's also linked to a chakra the opening to which allows us to tap into the universal love that underlies everything.

Yes. The failure of words to match reality is what's going on here. The writings of the Masters somehow transcend this limitation of language to fully address life itself. As poet e.e. cummings wrote:
"who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you”
