Hi de ho Everyone,

For a long time I resented this holiday for the obvious reasons that I am Native American. However with age I have mellowed and since my daughter was a shortie, struggled with coming to grips with it.

I was raised with the concept of: If you wake up sucking air, then the rest of the day is a Bonus. So I have practiced gratitude on a daily basis all my life. But in this culture where gratitude, along with other basic and necessary states of mind, do not exist on a regular basis That there is at least one day when as a group this culture would turn their minds to gratitude is encouraging.

SO on that note, I encourage all here and there to join in on this day to be Thankful, Grateful, for all that we really are and can be. To remember all those who have gone before so that we can be here and now. To be grateful for our lives and the lives of those we love. Because as my husband says often: No matter how bad it gets for you, if you take a deep breath and look around, there is always someone who has it worse than you.
So in our Grateful, Thankful space let us remember those among us who are in some sort of need this day and put out a prayer to whatever "god" we have chosen to protect and bring some sort of positivity to their lives.

In any case that should put out something positive into our Universe cause in this day and age, we could all use it!!!!!
