"HALO, HERE IS SOMETHING WRONG"
It's cooking among the rich Arabs: What happened when the Saudis ordered the citizens to soon as possible leave this country
Tanjug | 12. 11. 2017 - 12: 22h
From the moment when the plane in which the former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri landed in Saudi Arabia on November 3, Hariri was surprised - there were no Saudi princes or military officials who, in the normal circumstances, welcomed the prime minister on his arrival in an official visit to King Salaman, writes Reuters.
His phone was seized and the next day he was forced to resign as a Prime Minister in a statement broadcast by the Saudi television station, according to Reuters, referring to sources close to Hariri and high-ranking Lebanese political and security officials.
The move, according to the British agency, put Lebanon at the forefront of the conflict that transformed the Middle East, between the conservative Sunni monarchy, Saudi Arabia, and the Shi'ite revolutionary Iran.
Their rivalry has sparked conflicts in Iraq, Syria and Yemen, where the two countries support the opposing sides, and now risks destabilizing Lebanon, in which Saudi Arabia has long been trying to weaken the Shiite Libyan paramilitary Hezbollah organization.
Sources close to Hariri, who are not named by Reuters, say Saudi Arabia has concluded that the survey, the longtime ally of that country and the son of late Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri, who was killed in 2005, had to be removed from power because he did not show a desire to oppose Hezbollah.
Many sources from Lebanon say Riyadh hopes to replace Hariri with his elder brother Baha as the most positioned Sunni politician in Lebanon.
It is believed that elections are being held, that Baha is in Saudi Arabia, and that members of the Hariri family are asked to come there to swear to him for loyalty, but they refused.
- When the Hariri plane landed in Riyadh, he immediately received a message that something was wrong. Nobody waited for him, a source close to former Lebanese prime minister told Reuters.
Saudi Arabia denied allegations that it forced Harry to resign, arguing that he was a free man.
The British agency, however, notes that Saudi officials were not immediately available to comment on the circumstances of his arrival, the alleged seizure of his phone, or that the country plans to bring his brother to power instead of Hariri.
Harrie has not spoken to the public since he resigned and there is no indication when he could return to Lebanon.
He was summoned to Saudi Arabia to meet King Salaman in a telephone conversation on November 2 evening.
Before leaving, Harri told his officials that he would resume talks on Monday, and told his media team that he would see them at the weekend in Sharm el-Sheikh, where he was scheduled to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah el Sisi on the margins World Youth Forum.
The former Lebanese prime minister went to his house in Riyadh.
The source close to Hariri says he received a call from a protocol protocol official on Saturday morning, November 4, who asked him to attend a meeting with the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
As he added, he waited about four hours before resigning in television.
"From the moment he arrived, the (Saudis) did not show respect for man," said another highly positioned political source of Lebanon.
Hariri, Reuters notes, often visits Saudi Arabia.

WWIII against Iran & Russia presence at middle east just got triggered.
Menwhile NATO is mapping all Balkan roads for fast response with tanks and such retarded things, which is pointless. Giving the Russia/ Iran/ Turkey supremacy in anti - aircraft systems (Patriot VS S400). And if Russians are not sincere about aviability of S500, that is designed to take out also satellites, that is a lame game.
