It is easy to become discouraged when you are fighting against the mainstream tide, whether it be mainstream medicine, mainstream politics or whatever. How can one single person make a difference when the odds are stacked so heavily against us? The answer is that while we can only do so much, we should never give up doing what we can do.

It only takes a single pebble to start an avalanche, a single match to start a raging fire. As Samueal Adams said,"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brushfires in people's minds."

And, as Helen Keller said, "I am only one; but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but I still can do something. I will not refuse to do the something I can do."
