Two diverse Senators who have little regard for one another appear to be playing key roles in killing healthcare reform for self-serving reasons.

Rand Paul, who I generally like and agree with, is "standing on principle", to vote against a bill he does not like - despite the fact that it is an improvement over Obamacare because it ends mandates and returns healthcare control to the states. In the process, he is potentially doing huge harm to his party's chances in 2018 and perhaps President Trump's chances of re-election in 2020. Principles aside, I have to wonder whether part of Paul's motivation is to help set himself up for a future run for President.

And then there is the POS traitor to his country and his party Hanoi John McCain, the new Democrat and media darling. Forget all of his platitudes about his reasons for voting against the bill. Clearly, McCain had rather doom his own party and betray his best friend Lindsey Graham, who co-authored the bill, in order to stick it to Trump yet again. Like far too many on the left and in the establishment swamp, McCain would rather see America fail than see Trump succeed.
