As The Worm Turns - 2 Albuquerque Cops Charged With Murder of Homeless Man

The uproar of the police killing of a homeless camper in March of 2014 has led to murder charges for the two Albuquerque police officers who fatally shot James Boyd, a man who allegedly was mentally challenged. Unlike the cases in Ferguson, Missouri and New York City it seems this case is one where the 'worm has turned', as the expression goes, a case where people are not accepting that when the police are in doubt they can just snuff out a human life. It would seem normal for a camper to have more than one knife, in fact. So the police are such bullies and are so afraid that one must immediately discard a camping knife because now the police are there?

Should the police go all over the place based on 'tips' and see whom they can accost and disarm or else kill?

Could this case set a new precedent? Will the U.S. see a new era where officers cannot fire at citizens over simply becoming afraid? This case will be interesting.
