The Addicks Reservoir in northwest Harris County overflowed on Tuesday, sending water downstream into seven subdivision and the Barker Reservoir also continued to swell faster than expected.
Affected subdivisions include:
Twin Lakes
Eldridge Park
Lakes on Eldridge
Lakes on Eldridge North
Independence Farms
Tanner Heights
Heritage Business Park
Officials fear the Barker Reservoir also may spill over later Tuesday and affect more communities than previously expected. The overflow is expected to swell the already flooded Buffalo Bayou, which flows through the heart of the city.
There are more than 100 subdivisions under voluntary evacuation orders and two under mandatory evacuation orders, though that is expected to expand.
