The U.S. Department of Agriculture has confirmed an "atypical" case of bovine spongiform encephalopothy (BSE), commonly known as mad cow disease, in an 11-year old beef cow in Alabama but emphasized that the animal never entered the slaughterhouse and "at no time presented a risk to food supply or to human health."

Mad Cow Description:
Prion - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prion
Prions are infectious agents composed entirely of a protein material that can fold in multiple, ... spongiform encephalopathy (BSE)—known popularly as "mad cow disease". .... sequence to the infectious PrPSc are incorporated into the growing fiber. .... however, is believed to be caused by a prion that typically infects cattle, ...

The prions, previously normal protein, which then unfold (Not normal) from what I gather are associated if not caused by the spirochetes. This is a process that was created by different scientiests; making the proteins unfold.
Here is a definition and (IMO it isn't the prion that is the problem but the spirochete that isn't being mentioned.

Much of what is being seen is plemorphic hence the confusion that is often seen. Definition of plemorphic below:
Pleomorphism (cytology): variability in the size and shape of cells and/or their nuclei. Pleomorphism (microbiology): the ability of some bacteria to alter their shape or size in response to environmental conditions.

Dear RM Agents and Readers,
Below I will show several comparatives to that of Morgellons and why it is closely related. Problem is as Maryanne Middleveen has stated in a sarcastic and absolutely CORRECT TONE; the problem is that no one LOOKS. You don't look, you don't see. That is what she did differently, she looked.
Here is a description of some of Maryanne Middleveen's findings on Morgellons:

CHEF stands for Charles E Holman Foundation which was formerly called New Morgellons Order.

New Member of CEHF Scientific Advisory Board
A warm welcome is extended to Marianne Middelveen, MS, Mdes as she has recently joined our Scientific Advisory Board!
Marianne Middelveen is a microbiologist in Calgary, Alberta, currently working in the field of Veterinary Microbiology and specializing in bovine mastitis. She received post-graduate degrees in Microbial and Biochemical Science and in Environmental Science from Georgia State University and University of Calgary, respectively. She has been involved in research projects at the Centro Amazonico para Investigacion y Control de Enfermedades Tropicales, Puerto Ayacucho, Territorio Federal Amazonas (Edo. Amazonas), Venezuela; Instituto de Medicina Tropical, Universidad Central de Caracas, Caracas, Venezuela; Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia; Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta, Gerogia; University of Calgary, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Calgary, Alberta. She became interested in Lyme disease after discovering she had the disease in 2011. As a volunteer, she has been involved in research related to Lyme disease on behalf of the Canadian Lyme Disease. Middelveen’s interest in Morgellons began when she ran across the website of Ginger Savely, DNP. An article on Morgellons co- authored by Middelveen and Raphael Stricker, MD (CEHF Medical Advisory Board) has been submitted to a peer reviewed medical journal.

Similarities of Morgellons with Mad cow would include the fibers, the plaques,
the itching (to the bone type itch, it is terrible)., confusion, distress. I will add more in another post.
Many Blessings,
