It appears that the first shoe has dropped in the search for the source of the White House leaks and the implications are significant. Gotnews.com reports that White House Deputy Chief of Staff Katie Walsh, a former #NeverTrump Republican has implicated herself and been discovered through some Trump insider detective work to be at least one source of the leaks.
Walsh was Republican National Committee chief of staff under Reince Priebus, acting as his second-in-command. She was loyal to Priebus but was an avowed #NeverTrump Republican to the bitter end. How was it that she was able to obtain such a critical role in the White House? Was it because of her loyalty to Reince Priebus and the GOP establishment that he is entrenched with that she was selected? Was it a matter of her being more loyal to the Chief of Staff than the President, a quality a subversive would look for in maintaining a loyal second in command underneath him?
She’s reportedly been feeding the damaging information to the New York Times as well as other mainstream propaganda outlets, a report that has been confirmed by Gotnews.com through multiple sources including inside the Trump White House, media, donors and a pro-Trump 501(c)4 group.
They quote one of their sources close to the President as saying, “Everyone knows not to talk to her in the White House unless you want to see it in the press.” The source continued, saying, “The only question is whether or not she’s doing it at the behest of [White House Chief of Staff] Reince Priebus or if she’s doing it to advance herself in DC media circles.”
Walsh is reportedly close to New York Times reporter Maggie Habberman, so the connection to the New York Times is made. Habberman, for her part, was quite liberal with her praise of the RNC during the campaign. Walsh is also believed to have planted stories in the Washington Post and with Politico.
Walsh is the person who controls the President’s schedule, with access that would provide the opportunity for leaks to take place. Additionally, there is believed to be a trove of e-mails in which Katie Walsh discusses with White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus how to rid themselves of President Trump. That information reportedly came from a former #NeverTrump consultant.
In order to isolate and identify the network, the President and his trusted core group have been “deliberately feeding her fake information.” According to a source close to President Trump’s family, “It’s been going well.” Once again Trump recognized well ahead of time the value of having people he could trust around him, the abuse he took for having his family in the White House pales in comparison to his wisdom in doing so.
A senior aide said that Walsh is derisively referred to as “Madame President,” noting, “It isn’t a compliment.” Reince Priebus has once again, as with the ambassador appointments given to Trump opponents, demonstrated what on the surface appears to be either horrible judgment or subversion.
Priebus isn’t stupid and a mistake of this magnitude would simply not be made innocently. If this report is true, and Gotnews.com has an excellent track record, we can expect there to be another position at the White House in need of being filled in addition to those of National Security Adviser and Deputy Chief of Staff; probably several.
With the exception of General Flynn, we can look for criminal charges related to the leaks and some intense interrogation to go along with them. Wouldn’t it be great if the whole firing of General Flynn was part of the ruse to expose the leaks and he was actually still on good terms with the White House, a soldier doing his duty to protect the President? It’s a thought. However they did it, congratulations on a job well done are in order for the Trump inner circle.
