Navistar gets $35M contract for West Point-built armored vehicles

Navistar Defense has been awarded a $35 million contract by the U.S. Navy to build 40 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) MaxxPro Dash DXM vehicles.

The U.S. Department of Defense said the work will be done at Navistar’s plant in West Point, as well as in Pakistan, and is expected to be completed by October 2018.

US General Electric Aviation delivered two F414GEINS6 engines to India to power Tejas MKII LCA.

It seems that deal provides for 6 more engines of this type this year alone
India expects to get up to 99 such engines.
F414INS6 delivers 35% more thrust than the original F404, which is used in Tejas MKI and MK1A types.

Seven Countries Mull Buying Russian Su-30MKI With BrahMos Cruise Missiles

Six countries in Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East consider buying Russia’s new Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jets armed with BrahMos cruise missiles, BrahMos Aerospace representative Previn Pahtak told Sputnik.

Chief executive of the Indian-Russian joint venture, Sudhir Mishra, earlier said that the test launch of an airborne version of the supersonic BrahMos cruise missile from an Su-30MKI was slated within the next two months.
