Actor Willam Holden's Suspicious Death - Was William Holden's Death an Accident or Murder?

I have long hoped for an article on actor William Holden's death that would at least bring out a few facts that other cover-up articles fail to mention.

William Holden was that larger-than-life guy on the big screen for many of us. He was the antihero in 'Picnic' who made up for his lack of refinement with a good measure of sheer brawn. He was that guy in 'Sabrina' so dashing and handsome, really larger-than-life. He was the intense producer-director who saw promise in a washed up alcoholic in 'The Country Girl' with Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby.

Mr. Holden, it was said, succumbed to a strange fall, hitting his head as he went down, on a night stand or other table, and bleeding profusely did not realize the extent of his injuries. He bled to death. Cause of death - accidental?

Before we jump to conclusions let's review a few facts surrounding his case and the possible motive for his death. Mr. Holden had planned to wed Patricia Morgan Stauffer in Africa on December 13th, at The Kenya Safari Club on New Years Eve. He was not living with Stefanie Powers. He was apparently not with Stefanie Powers in any romantic way. In fact it could be argued that Mr. Holden had probably not quite gotten around to changing his will when this unfortunate 'accident' happened.

What is most troubling is the blood spatter on the phone which had apparently not been used. Why did Noguchi change his tune from murder, which he initially believed, to 'no foul play'?
