David Icke is right: the world is a loony bin.

Okay, so it's not a giant condom. It's "An 8-foot-tall reinforced glass barrier" to be constructed around the base of the tower.

That's analogous to a giant wall along the US-Mexican border. But at least in Trump's case we suspect him of a kind of "Constructive Idiocy" to amuse the press while he does the real stuff as soon as his power base makes it possible.

Alors, back in Dazed Paree, the glass barrier will cost taxpayers about 20 million Euros. To be sure, a giant condom would be much cheaper.

But it would spoil the view.

I can see how the glass wall might be bypassed by a zero dark "Mission Impossible" type terrorist team, using suction cups to scale it.

So, probably France will soon ban the sale of suction cups.

This would create a black market suction cup trade which the French Surete (Security Service) could run on the side, to entrap low-IQ Muslims into a night attempt to bypass the wall, which, being glass, would produce a clear video for the networks.

If the French don't know how to pull something like that off, the FBI--with tons of experience doing just such ops-- could act as advisors.

Nobody is claiming the wall would stop a truck attack like the one in Nice last summer. But hell, what's the point of all this lavish expense if it relieves the French people of their anxieties? Without that fear, the citizens would be free to examine this entire enterprise and realize it's just another...
