I recently read a fictional short story about a CIA agent who had 3 members of his family that were hooked on heroin, and when the third one died from an overdose, he decided to do something about it. He randomly poisoned several different CIA evidence stashes with polonium. A few months after, word on the street got around and the dealer's business went south. The gist was that eventually the users disappeared or died and the cartels went bust.

Sounds like it has a real life application to me. We get rid of the trash and remove the money from both the cartels AND the CIA.
