NASA is lying to you.

SDO's main engine is a bi-propellant system using monomethyl hydrazine (MMH) fuel and nitrogen tetroxide (NTO) oxidizer.
Science data is sent to the ground at a rate of ~130Mbps on a continuous, high rate data stream at a Ka-Band frequency of ~26GHz. I bet there's hardly any delay in the transmission when the SDO is so close to earth.

Correction: a circumference of over 163,000 miles would be the orbit of the SDO if it were spinning in sync with a rotating convex earth. "around the earth"? It can't: it would run out of fuel.
The SDO really performs an analemma (figure 8) in the sky and is "inside" the earth, where the smaller "space-ball" (or celestial sphere) we see spins and we stay in one spot.
The SDO just has to be nudged briefly with fuel at the analemma endpoints.
During eclipse time: since light bends, the light from the sun wraps around to the back side of the celestial sphere, and where the center of the bent light rays meet there's a darkness funnel formed where you think it's the earth's shadow in front of the sun.

We are lied to about our earth, repeatedly. The people you listen to online repeat the lie about earth and light ad nauseam.

Light bends.
You stay put on land.
The space-ball in the sky spins.
Geosynchronous satellites don't fly very far each day so they won't run out of fuel.
The sun and moon are smaller and closer than you think.
There is a magnetic equilibrium zone where there's no current.
The Earth has 4 equatorial equilibrium points (4 corners of the earth):

So space mining must be a lie.

I still say: time travel calculations are easier when your planet is not hurtling nor rotating through space.

The tetrahedron at the center of the celestial sphere has a lot to do with ley lines. That's why I'll never get through to 99.9% of the public about the earth grid: because they don't realize they're on the inside.

How is it that you think the geosynchronous satellites don't run out of fuel when they would have a daily "circumference of over 163,000 miles"?
