MIKE DUGGAN - MAYOR OF DETROIT

I think the president-Elect would especially appreciate the hoops Mr. Duggan had to jump through to get elected while Detroit's Black Establishment tried to defeat him (he's a white guy).

He won as a WRITE IN candidate while the city's establishment ran an ordinary person with a "sound alike" name against him hoping that Detroit's voters wouldn't be able to spell well enough to bring him across the finish line.

The voters knew him by his reputation and by his work in the city.

And, they wanted him.
