'COMA' is a suspenseful Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer medical conspiracy thriller film based on Robin Cook's 1977 book, 'COMA'.

A surgical resident, Dr. Susan Wheeler (Genevieve Bujold) discovers that more than one patient have inexplicably become brain-dead during surgeries, etc., and seeks to investigate why. This film has become a major box office success which speaks volumes for it.

You may recall the late government conspiracy writer, Jim Keith, who reportedly told his wife before surgery that he had a strange feeling that if he were 'put under' he wouldn't be coming back. Sure enough he died from that 'routine knee procedure'. You may never feel the same about surgery again if you view this film!

Hang on for a fast ride in this medical thriller, an excellent suspense film with a very memorable and noted cast including Richard Widmark, Michael Douglas, Tom Selleck, Elizabeth Ashley. Here are the cast members.

Note: 'COMA' was also made into a TV miniseries.

This film is available in color on DVD and Blu-ray. Some Viewers claim the Blu-ray version is 1:78 aspect ratio for a nice widescreen view.
