Former Cuban President Fidel Castro is closely monitoring the presidential campaign in the United States. In an article he wrote, which was published shortly before the start of the second debate between the candidates, he points out that the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton 'discredited' rival from the Republican ranks, Donald Trump, in the first debate held two weeks ago.

"The first debate was sparked uproar. Tramp, who presented himself as a man with expert skills was discredited almost exactly as Barak Obama for his policies," wrote Castro, the leader of the Cuban Revolution, which transferred power to his brother Raul a little more than eight years, reports Yahoo news.

Cuban authorities, which in 2014 began historical restoring of the relationship with the United States for the first time since the Cold War, has so far remained silent on the issue of Obama's successor.

The article by Fidel Castro is seen as a signal on which side leans official Havana.

Hillary Clinton in campaign leans in favor of the continuation of good diplomatic relations with Cuba that were started by Barak Obama's historic visit to Cuba in March this year.

On the other hand, according to the views set out until now, Donald Trump is a supporter of a reserved attitude towards the Cuban authorities.
