Deprivation & Shortages - "They'll just want us to get it for them" - 3 Days of the Condor - VIDEO Clip - Cliff Robertson - Comment

Sometimes when people have been browbeaten by hideous, despicable government bums for decades and watched zillions of foreigners enter the country and 'get stuff', it can lead to a sense of deprivation.

In the film, 'Frances', Jessica Lange as Frances Farmer projects feelings of deprivation when Kim Stanley, as mother of Frances Farmer, announces, "your agent called!", etc., and "they want you back!", etc.. and Frances attempts to remind her mother of what she, Frances, wants out of life. When it gets down to doing without, it reminds one of the 'Frances' scene of "talking about me now", as if to say....it's my turn to get something - me now, as if ... I have earned some right to my own life, etc..

But what happens when it's your turn, finally, to 'get stuff', but things run out?

Speaking of getting things in life, in a similar vein to Frances and "talking about me now", a great actor in 'Three Days of the Condor', Cliff Robertson, portrays Higgins, a CIA Chief that character Joubert (Von Sydow) had warned Joe Turner about, talks about getting stuff for Americans.....when things run out.

Tons of immigrants have definitely crowded the job market and zillions of Americans surely have feelings of deprivation, but when shortages pile on top of pre-existing feelings of deprivation can you imagine the kind of anger, rage and resulting frustration and chaos .... when things run out?

Just leaving you with this thought ....."for that day".
