Also, high quality hollow point ammo is essential to ensure immediate stops, necessary if your attacker has even a knife. A man can do a lot of damage in a few seconds before he dies, if he gets close enough with a sharp knife. The "Seven Yard Rule" applies here, do not let him get within seven yards, or 21 feet before you take action. Tests have proven that a man, even a large, heavy man, can cover 21 feet before one proficient with a handgun can draw and fire. The test was done by police officers. Rule of Thumb, "if he shows a weapon, drop the bastard." In the case of Muslims, "Any within a half mile are fair game", or, if you are using a Barrett .50, a mile and a half, or so.
