In Brazil, an era came to its end: recent President Dilma Rousseff was sacked from her position due to the revocation vote of two thirds of the members of the Senate. She will be, up to the next elections in 2018, as head of the country change yesterday's Vice President Michel Temer (75), which is no less controversial. This is confirmed by the fact that the protests against him have already begun, judging by the chaos on the streets of Sao Paolo.
These are six things you should know about Temer.
1. American Trojan horse?
After having been disclosed that during the suspension of Dilma properly Temer will perform the duties of the President, "WikiLeaks" come out supplying evidence that he was in the past an American informant (that is a spy).
Two reports from 2006, one in January and one in June, reveal that Temer, a member of the centrist Brazilian Democratic Movement (PMDB), reported to US diplomats about political processes in the country and plans to take over the power on then oncoming elections, which was later won by Luis Inacio Lula da Silva of the Workers' Party, who in 2010 handed control to Rousseff.
Even the US consul in Sao Paulo described Temera as "an opportunist with no real ideology." In addition, Temer was under investigation for alleged violations of the rules on the use of public money for the purposes of a political campaign, and was threatened by sentence of eight-year ban to stand on presidential elections. This information revealed Glenn Greenwald, a reporter who was first to interview Edward Snowden.
"Temer plans to hand economy of Brazil into the hands of Goldman Sachs and the IMF, do not doubt it," Greenwald wrote in his article for "Intersept".

2. Wall Street loves it
Temer, a lawyer and former speaker of Congress known as the man who loves negotiating "behind the back", but also a politician whom love wealthy investors, especially those from the US Wall Street. Renowned "Financial Times" was even called him "the wet dream of any investor."
Temer and his PMDB already have a plan to, as they say, "to help Brazil's economy to recover." This plan includes all the elements of neo-liberal policies in the countries of the Western world on which the Brazilians, the majority, have not so good opinion. Critics say that the Temer's stroy is empty straw, and that Brazil's economy is not in such problems. Brazil with $ 3,259 trillion is a seventh largest economy in the world and first in Latin America. With, since 2008 recorded a growth of over 27% per year. However, since 2014 this growth has fallen to as little as two percent per year, which is the main argument of Temer's supporters.
3. Brazilians do not like him
The majority of the Brazilian population believes that Temer should be revoked, and that they would like much more new, early elections. However, Temer himself, in an interview with "CNN" Brazil pointed out that the Constitution does not allow for such an option. About dissatisfaction with Temer spoke Veilton Prado also, a prominent lawyer and member of the Brazilian Senate, which voted for the dismissal of Rousseff.
- Michel Temer is like a vampire from horror movies. He's like a virus: when your immunity falls, the virus invades and affects your whole body. And now, unfortunately, the Temer virus has contaminated the whole Brazil - said Veilton Prado.
4. It could find himself under investigation for corruption
Many politicians from Temer party have been accused of corruption associated with state oil company Petrobras. The new president is not under investigation, but his name is mentioned too many times in various testimonies in court. Even Fabian Silveira, Minister for corruption in Temer's government and his close aide resigned after it was discovered that he had done everything to cancel the investigation codenamed "Laundry," which questioned said corruption scandal.
Silveira had initially denied the allegations, until the moment when appeared audio recordings which prove his guilt. Resignation of Silveira, who presented himself as "a transparent politician who holds the control in his hands," increased pressure on the Michel Temer's government, writes Brazil's "O Globo".
5. His wife is a real beauty
Marcela Temer, wife of the new President Michel Temer. Marcela, a former pageant participant, found her love 12 years ago when she in her native village in the state of Sao Paulo met then president of the lower house of the Brazilian parliament and asked him to take picture together.
He agreed on the condition that she gives him her phone number. Her love for her 44-year-older husband Marcela showed with a tattoo with his name. On the other hand, Temer his love for his wife expressed by writing her love poems, which were published in the book entitled "anonymous intimacy".
6. My parents were immigrants from Lebanon
Officials and historians estimate that between seven and ten million Brazilians have Lebanese origin. One of them is certainly Temer, whose parents to the largest South American country come in 1920s.
- My father always said that Brazil is the country that will become like America. The implication was that this is a country that has enormous potential to become a force that grows and develops - Temer said in an interview with the Lebanese "Executive magazine". Residents of Btabure, his hometown in the north of Lebanon, are his big fans. Similarly is with city officials, who have even named a street after him.
