Dear Senator Warren:
You were the Outsider, fighting for the middle class. You were the voice of the people, campaigning for the establishment of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, signed into law in 2010.
When that agency's funds were gutted by Republicans in Congress, you did not give up.
You ran for the US Senate You said:
"There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody. ... You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hired workers the rest of us paid to educate; you were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did. Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless. Keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along."
Your address to the DNC Convention in 2012 brought tears to my eyes. You spoke for all of us, the little people; you talked about building the economy from the ground up, not the top down. I loved you, Liz Warren.

You became a US Senator.

And then, strange things started happening. You got behind a bill that would exempt drug companies from lawsuits resulting from vaccinations.

You went from being someone of impeccable honor, to something else.

And now, you have thrown your considerable political clout behind the campaign for President of a woman many Americans believe belongs in prison.

The way magic works is like this: when you offer your honor in support of someone who has no honor, you lose your honor as surely as if she had stolen it from you.

Which is what she did. And now, everybody knows, Liz Warren is for hire.
